We meant this event to generate activity for the fandom with a low entry level. Therefore, we aimed for flexibility when it came to participation. This year is no different. Thank you everyone for you feedback on this matter.
First, I ask that if you are willing to be a pinch-hitter, let me know. If during the event, your partner is not interacting with you, please, let me know. I am not going to default anyone but even if for a while, we will find a way to substitute your partner. We hope that the next time we'll meet won't be thirteen years later and that we can recognise each other.
Second, besides the question bank that we offered as inspiration last year, I will post an ask every day that anyone can answer. You can use it as an ask meme and comment it yourself or call a person's attention to it if you want to know their answer. For those questions that you shouldn't ask, you can rely on me to ask them for you.

Can I join on Tumblr and Dreamwidth?
Absolutely. You can specify which platform you prefer or if you want your assigned partner to choose. You can also sign up separately to receive questions on each platform and to also ask questions on both.

Can I create a Tumblr/Dreamwidth to join?
Sure. If you need help with your new platform, let us know. If you are new to Dreamwidth, i am happy to say that we have a community centered around the canon:

nirvana_in_fire.

Can I join if I have only seen part of the show?
Sure. Let us know if you'd like to avoid discussing events following a certain point in the drama or the novel and we will notify your partner.

Is twelve questions the maximum?
Not at all! Ideally, you will have such a good conversation going with your partner that you will exchange questions and answers and won't even notice how many you've asked each other. The weekly minimum is so the questions would be spread out through the event so we can maintain a steady activity and not overwhelm ourselves at the beginning or lose momentum by the end. But everyone is encouraged to ask more questions or shoot a question back to their partner.

How long are the answers expected to be?
As long as it needs to be. If it answers the question, it can be one word. If a novel is not enough for you to give your answer - you know it.

How long can I take to answer?
If you are indeed writing a novel, please, notify your partner that you will take some time. It's probably a good rule to write something in a few days, even if you know you will want to add more later.

What are DNWs in this event?
Anything that you don't want to talk about. Your partner will have to respect them and can't ask you about these topics. (If they do, feel free to notify us.) Of course, if you originally didn't give us any DNWs but receive a question about a topic you don't want to talk about, you don't have to answer - let us know that you will not answer and we will ask your partner to send a different ask.

Is this a big event?
No. We will probably be able to follow every single conversation with the number of signups we have.

Can I advertise this event on discord/twitter/other platforms?
Sure, thank you. Keep in mind, though, that the event runs on Tumblr and Dreamwidth.

We are about halfway through the sign-up period, we are looking forward to welcoming more participants before we can start asking our questions and getting to know each other better!

Our fandom is steadily growing. We want to help us get to know each other better and create different ways to participate. Inspired by similar events in other fandoms, we present to you our Fall in Langya event.

This event will be run on Tumblr and Dreamwidth simultaneously.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?

Invite your friends and community members to the event by creating a post in your journal and communities if you would like to spread the word.

You can sign up by commenting on this post or by sending us an ask to our our Tumblr.

To participate on Dreamwidth, we will ask you to set up a post designated for the event where your partner can leave their anonymous comments. To participate on Tumblr, you must allow anonymous asks. Your blog/journal must be visible even without an account.

We may pair you with someone from the other platform, unless you specifically request we do not do so in your registration.

The event will take place from September 15th to October 15th, make sure you have the time to participate.

RULES

Send at least three anonymous asks/comments in a week to your partner. You are free to talk about anything in your ask as long as it abides by our rules, though we do encourage you to talk about Nirvana in Fire.

Sign off all your asks with a signature of your choice that makes it clear you’re participating in Fall in Langya.

It is forbidden to send anyone any NSFW asks, or to violate their stated DNWs. If this happens, please tell the mods.

Be kind to one another. This event is here to bring people together and celebrate friendships.
Reveal your true identity on the Langya Reveal Day of October 15th!

(Optional) Tag your answered asks with #fallinlangya so we can see all your lovely interactions with each other! We’ll be tracking that tag.

You can of course send anonymous asks to people other than your intended partner, but we ask that you sign them (if you sign) as something making it clear you are not their partner.
